“The Rising” original acrylic on paper by Howard Butterworth
I recently enjoyed the Eric Auld Exhibition that was chosen by his family and I was delighted to see some early and previously unseen work by Eric. A particicular favourite was a small bright sunset.
After the success of my “Recollection” exhibition in 2013 and a continuing friendship with Brian Hendry, owner and rescuer of the Tivoli theatre, I agreed to revisit with a collection of a new and old originals and for the first time prints.
I will be showcasing “The Artist’s Garden” which was inspired whilst painting the Anchor for Friends of ANCHOR #20for20 Voyage Campaign. The idea was drawn from the gardens at home and the June Borders of Crathes Castle, “The Artist’s Garden” and the associated anchor are a tribute to those beautiful spaces that inspire, lift spirits, provide tranquility and hold precious memories.
The exhibition in bar area will be open from Tuesday 12th September for 6 days. I will be there 11 – 3pm most days to welcome you and answer any of your questions. Those that know me will know that I can chat passionately about most things especially cars!
